Levis 1880 Nevada Raw

Levis are running a reproduction of the oldest known jeans, the Nevada. Older jeans were lost in the San Francisco Earthquake fires. These originals were found down a mineshaft in the Nevada desert. Hence the name. These replicas are on sale in Japan in a limited (150) box set (60,000 JPY) with some awesome leather [...]

Xmas Break

I’ve been busy with the lead-up to xmas. I haven’t had much time for posting to the blog. This week I’m heading off to Malaysia and Hong Kong for a break. I’ve selected these two pairs of jeans for the trip. Both are still unwashed, but they’ll probably need it after the holiday.

Pocket Blowout (updated)

I’d been noticing a lot of front-pocket blowouts on the superfuture denim forum… just like on my Samurai-Geishas. Here are some stolen pic examples which I don’t have permission to post (post a comment if you want me to remove your stolen picture). watchman’s eternals ordo’s eternals polishmike’s sams dickdanger’s sams Admittedly my own pocket [...]

Kaptial TP-2 Update

The Kapital denim is showing the affects of wear quite quickly, so I took a few pictures to try to show the fade. It’s difficult to capture in a photo. Inside the back right pocket is a label. I forgot to take a photo of this in my previous post.

Warehouse Duck Diggers 1920

I really liked the 1920 Duck Diggers, but felt that their cut was too slim for the style, so I up-sized from 33 to 36. The cinch takes up the slack in the size difference. These are from the Warehouse store in Osaka. They were purchased in a one-wash state, which was surprising, because online [...]

Samurai S0500XX

This is a pair of the Samurai S0500XX. These are for my friend Jobsey, so don’t expect to see updated pictures. They are 15oz, which is light on for Samurai. They have been made with Texas cotton, which is a scruffy cotton because it has many short fibres.

Kapital Zipang Natural Indigo TP-2

So, in a pilgrimage day excursion we took the bullet train from Osaka to Okayama, and then down to Kojima. I had read about Kojima being the Holy Land of Jeans on the KrashJapan web site, so I was keen to visit. Overall, the trip was a bit of a let down. The Rampuya Indigo [...]

Eternal 811 Update

An update with some early progress pictures. I’m very happy with the jeans. They are a great slim (not tight) yet comfortable jean.
