Recently got this USN Denim Jacket from Real McCoys.  10 oz denim.

It was no-wash, and shrank a lot.  You can see a lot of shrinkage in the chain-stitching across the top of the pocket in the below pic.

Even after the wash the sleeves were very long…  so I decided to do a home-style stitching.

The coat buttons are listed as iron.  They are a flat black, but I’m expecting that they will burnish over time to something more like the Buzz Rickson’s version of this jacket.

Items like this ship with crossed pistols keep me visiting his store like it is an art gallery.

Whilst I like the mariner themes with ships, skulls, pistols and flaming hearts of his jewelery… it is all too big for me to wear. I eventually asked about getting something made, and selected a simple small anchor (it’s around 1cm across). It’s actually part of a larger ship necklace that he makes. He polished it and set on a chain for me.

I’m very happy with this small trinket. Actually, I just realised that it has been around my neck for one year now, and this was the first time I have taken it off.
